Guilty plea in case tied to Gayle Ruzicka's son's death

SALT LAKE CITY -- The man accused of selling the heroin that led to the fatal overdose of Utah Eagle Forum President Gayle Ruzicka's son has pleaded guilty to a first-degree felony drug charge.

The Deseret News reports (http://bit.ly/uencss) Gareth Bozung entered a guilty plea Wednesday in Provo's 4th District Court to one count of offering or arranging to distribute a controlled substance.

The 31-year-old Bozung faces a life prison term when sentenced on Feb. 15.

Joshua Ruzicka died from a heroin overdose in March 2007.

In court papers, police say Bozung told them he sold the 27-year-old Ruzicka a $5 bag of heroin on the night of the overdose.

The Eagle Forum is a conservative political lobbying group. Gayle Ruzicka has been the Utah chapter president since 1991.
