TOOELE -- Police say a Tooele man has been charged with kidnapping and trying to flee to Mexico with his landlord's 13-year-old daughter.
Charging documents filed in 3rd District Court say Aurelio Castillo-Galindo was romantically linked to the girl.
Authorities say Castillo-Galindo had argued with the girl's mother and told her he was returning to Mexico.
The woman realized Tuesday that both the man and her daughter were gone.
Police caught up with the pair Wednesday in Laramie, Wyo., on a Greyhound bus.
Tooele County prosecutor Gary Searle says Castillo-Galindo, who lists his age as 18 and 24, is in the country illegally from Mexico. Searle says the girl told Wyoming family service authorities she may be pregnant. Additional charges may be filed if that's true.
Castillo-Galindo awaits extradition to Utah.
