Windstorm cleanup in Ogden leaves free mulch

The Dec. 1 windstorm left a wake of significant damage and many in need of help. Members of our community have joined together with neighbors, religious groups, Ogden city and non-profit organizations to help with the recovery efforts.

As a result of the windstorm, over 600 cubic yards of green waste has been removed from various locations throughout the city. To address the extreme amount of green waste debris, a temporary drop-off site was dedicated for Ogden residents.

All residents who still have green waste to dispose are encouraged to visit the city’s green waste site at 1845 Monroe Blvd.

Debris that was dropped off at the temporary site has been ground into landscaping mulch and is being offered for pick-up at no charge. This will be a self-loading area and officials encourage anyone looking for mulch to take advantage of this great offer. The site at 600 Park Blvd. will remain open until all the mulch is gone.
