Boy, 10, runs into car on 300 West

WASHINGTON TERRACE -- A 10-year-old boy ran into a car while running across the street around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The boy was playing with other children when he decided to run into traffic, Weber County Sheriff's Cpl. Brian Jacobs said.

The other children reported that the boy was not looking where he was going when he hit the front driver-side fender of a Nissan Murano traveling southbound on 300 West.

"The other kids yelled at him to stop and he didn't," Jacobs said.

The boy was transported to McKay-Dee Hospital with minor injuries, including a possible leg fracture.

Jacobs does not believe any charges will be filed.
