When the U.S. Supreme Court made the decision that corporations are allowed to participate in political action committees just as the people of this country, which is an affront to the reason that the founders of this country formed an independent country. The idea that corporations are people is not correct. Corporations are business entities that are formed by people and they should remain that way.
The representatives are elected to represent the people, who are their constituents. The corporations should be represented as businesses, not as people who elect the representatives. The representatives always come to the people for re-election when their terms are about to expire, then they turn around and put their attention on the upper 1 percent who are the managers of the corporations. Why does the general population keep ignoring these facts?
The Republicans have made it their position to represent the upper 1 percent in order to protect them from any increase in taxation, while wanting the rest of us to shoulder the burden of paying higher taxes. The upper 1 percent refuse to create new jobs to help bring the country out of the recession. They instead, have been lining their pockets and creating problems for the country.
Isn't it time that representatives get replaced by those who want to represent all of their constituents?
