ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- A 14-year-old girl injected with heroin last week died Thursday from the overdose, Anchorage Police reported.
In a brief statement, police said the girl died shortly after noon. With her death, police also revealed her identity, Jena Dolstad of Anchorage. She had previously been only identified as "J.D."
Sean Warner, 26, had been charged with a drug-related felony and other crimes related to the overdose. Police said he injected Dolstad with the heroin.
State prosecutor Regan Williams said Wednesday that Warner would likely be charged with manslaughter if the girl died. Williams was not immediately available for comment Thursday after Dolstad's death.
Warner declined an interview request Thursday afternoon at the Anchorage Jail.
