Utah woman keeps hope 17 years after mom vanished

SANDY -- A Utah woman says she still holds out hope for new leads 17 years after her mother mysteriously vanished.

The Deseret News reports (http://bit.ly/sLgSkJ ) Stephanie Cook visited a Sandy cemetery this week to place flowers at a plaque honoring Bobbi Ann Campbell.

Cook was 5 years old when Campbell dropped her off at a friend's house in 1994 to go grocery shopping. Police later found Campbell's car abandoned, and she hasn't been seen since.

The 22-year-old Cook says she was raised by her great-grandparents and says she missed having her mother around for proms, graduation and her wedding.

Cook says she will not give up until she finds her mother or finally gets answers about her disappearance.
