Six Ogden officers shot

OGDEN -- Emergency responders rushed Wednesday night to 3268 Jackson St., where six officers were shot, according to Ogden's Assistant Police Chief Marcy Korgenski. The officers were from the Weber-Morgan Narcotics Strike Force and the Ogden Police Department.

A suspect also was shot.

All injured were transported to the hospital. No information was available at 10 p.m. regarding their conditions.

Police had blocked the area of 34th Street and Jackson to all traffic, and SWAT arrived at the scene a short while later.

The residence was secured at 9:12 p.m., and by 9:45 p.m. police announced in a news conference that the scene was secured and there was no longer a threat to the community.

The Standard-Examiner will provide more details as they become available.
