Families of rescued kids push for road changes in Logan Canyon

LOGAN -- Families of three children rescued from an overturned car in the Logan River are pushing for officials to make changes to a stretch of road they consider dangerous.

KTVX-TV in Salt Lake City reports (http://bit.ly/zKCFM1 ) the father of a 9-year-old girl pulled from the car last week says he won't stand for more accidents.

Authorities say the car slid off the road at mile marker 474 in Logan Canyon, where a narrow turn has caused cars to go off the road and into the nearby river.

Workers at an auto body shop where the car was taken say they've pulled dozens of wrecked cars from the area over several years.

The Utah Department of Transportation says a temporary barrier will be put in place while engineers study the curve.
