Officials for the city have been recognized for excellence in financial reporting, for the 10th straight year.

The Government Finance Officers Association of The United States and Canada has awarded the city its certificate of achievement for excellence in financial reporting and particularly singled out Keith Johnson, the city’s finance director, in doing so.

The award is considered the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, according to Galen Rasmussen, of the Utah chapter of the group. He awarded a plaque to Johnson and the city during a recent council meeting.
