Next phase of West Point subdivision gets OK

The city council unanimously approved Phase 2 of the Bartholomew Lane subdivision, located at 3600 W. 1300 North.

The planning commission approved the expansion of this 13 lot cul-de-sac in December of 2010 and granted the developer a one-year extension for the required lot sales.

The city code requires 80 percent of the lots to be sold before expansion. Phase 1 of the subdivision has now sold more than 90 percent of the lots.

This project is the first development in West Point to use land drains in the backyards to prevent standing water.
