Box Elder seeking at-large fugitive

BRIGHAM CITY -- A Box Elder County police dispatcher said a reverse 911 call was sent to residents late Tuesday night warning them that a fugitive was on the loose.

The call asked residents to lock their doors and windows.

Police reported a high-speed chase on highways in Box Elder County earlier Tuesday evening, with speeds reaching 90 mph.

Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson said the chase included an area on Highway 38 and 3900 North and other places in the county.

Dispatchers also noted the chase at times being westbound on Highway 30.

Johnson said the pursuit ended with officers chasing the driver on foot.
