SALT LAKE CITY -- An Emery County woman recovering after falling 50 feet down a rocky canyon says her husband gets the credit for helping her survive until rescuers arrived 11 hours later.
The fall came after Kellee Healy and her husband Todd drove to Ticaboo Canyon on Dec. 21, then split up to hike.
Todd Healy tells ABC 4 (http://bit.ly/A4WjVN ) he started panicking when he returned and found her dazed at the bottom of the canyon with broken legs and fractures in her skull, pelvis, hand, ribs and shoulder blade.
Todd Healy says he built a fire for his wife as temperatures dipped near freezing, and hiked out of the canyon until he found a cell phone signal to call 911.
Kellee Healy lost her toes but says she's grateful to be alive.
