Council assignments for the new year are as follows:
• Mayor Jimmie Papageorge will oversee road maintenance, buildings and maintenance and will also be the Bona Vista Water representative.
• Tim Shupe will be assistant mayor, the representative for Weber Fire District and will oversee animal control and consolidated dispatch.
• Tom Burkland will be the council representative to Central Weber Sewer and Drains and will also be the planning commission representative.
• Lee Dickemore will represent the city in mosquito abatement, recreation and ordinances.
• Paul Dinsdale will oversee celebrations and will be the representative to the Senior Center and Mountain View Monument Repair. He also will be the WACOG representative.
• Ava Painter will oversee beautification and trails in Farr West and will work with the CERT/Emergency Management Team. She also will oversee block grants and assist the city in applying for grants.
Council members and Papageorge will discuss their assignments and make needed adjustments or clarifications at an upcoming work meeting.
