RENO, Nev. -- Lawsuits continue to pile up against the Battle Mountain company that owns the truck that slammed into an Amtrak passenger train in northern Nevada in June, killing five and injuring 20.

The Reno Gazette-Journal reports the latest plaintiffs suing John Davis Trucking were visiting from Seoul, South Korea.

Kyung Ran You and Hyung Won Park boarded the train in Salt Lake City just hours before the semi crashed through the crossing gate north of Fallon near Interstate 80.

Their suit filed Wednesday in Washoe District Court says they suffered serious and permanent injuries as a result of the company's negligence. It's one of more than a dozen lawsuits filed to date.

The trucking firm says in counter suits that Amtrak and Union Pacific failed to maintain a safe crossing.
