Breakfast to be part of Martin Luther King Jr. Day activities

OGDEN — For Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a breakfast is being held at 9 a.m. today in the Marshall White Center, 222 28th St. Sponsors are the NAACP, Prince Hall Masons and Order of the Eastern Star. A $5 donation will be accepted.

A march will begin at 10 a.m. from the Marshall White Center to the Ogden Amphitheater.

Following the march, participants are invited to Wildcat Lanes in the Shepherd Union Building at Weber State University, 3848 Harrison Blvd. Bowling and billiards will be free for those who donate canned goods.

The march is sponsored by WSU’s Center for Diversity and Unity, Community Involvement Center, and the NAACP of Ogden. For more information, call 801-626-6349.

Also, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., donations of fresh produce for the food bank will be collected at the north doors of United Way, 2955 Harrison Blvd.
