SALT LAKE CITY — The University of Utah has narrowed its field for president down to two.
David Pershing, the school’s current senior vice president for academic affairs, and Kumble Subbaswamy, provost of the University of Kentucky, are vying for the position.
Former president Michael Young left the post last April for the same job at the University of Washington.The Board of Regents will interview Pershing and Subbaswamy on Friday.
The regents may come to a decision as early as the same day. The search committee considered more than 80 potential candidates for the position.
