Subject of Idaho Amber Alert found safe in Utah

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho -- Bonneville County authorities say a 10-year-old Idaho Falls girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert has been found safe.

The Idaho State Journal reports Jalyce Binegar was located by Utah Highway Patrol at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. George, Utah.

Officials say Jalyce is OK and will be returned to her grandmother, who has custody.

Jalyce's mother, 31-year-old Genevette Garner, was taken into custody. She faces custodial interference charges in Bonneville County.

Officers said Garner has a history of mental illness and had abducted her daughter previously.

Officials say Jalyce was reported missing Tuesday evening after leaving a note for her grandmother asking her to return her books to school.
