Arguments ensue about South Weber assignments

Heated arguments recently erupted at a council meeting, following Mayor Jeffery Monroe’s city assignments.

Several members of the council expressed the desire to keep their previous assignments because of their past work.

Councilwoman Sara Lusk argued that these assignments were “given to us with no say” and that each member had already put much “knowledge, time, effort, dedication and willingness” into those areas.

After much discussion, Monroe explained that the new assignments had not been approved yet, so that each member would keep their last year’s assignment until issues were reviewed and discussed at the next work meeting.
