New members to join Pleasant View city council

There are new faces on the city council as three new council members were sworn in recently. Jerold Burns, Mel Marker and Toby Mileski are now on the city council.

Mayor Doug Clifford thanked outgoing council members Tim Hjorten, Mae Ferguson and Todd Walker for their service to the city.

“I appreciate the time that I had serving on the city council,” said Ferguson. She served for six years and said the city staff and office employees had been so good to work with. She said she hoped the new council members would enjoy being on the city council as she had. Ferguson also made one request, that the walking path be completed with benches and trees.

Walker also said he had enjoyed serving on the council and said Pleasant View was a great city to live in. Hjorten was not present in the meeting.
