Two businesses plan fundraisers

OGDEN — Two Ogden businesses plan to raise money for the police injured in the shooting on Jackson Avenue.

Salt Rock Coffee, 270 12th St., a coffee shop and entertainment venue, will have a comedy show at 10 p.m. today in the Genesis Project auditorium.

 

All proceeds will be donated to the police department, a news release states. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door.

On Tuesday, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Sizzler, at 12th Street and Washington Boulevard, will donate 15 percent of its sales and all of its employees’ tips to the injured officers and the family of fallen Officer Jared Francom.

They will also send gift baskets full of gift certificates from other restaurants, a news release states.

People who want to donate, but not eat at Sizzlers, can stop by and make a donation, the release states.
