Gingrich couple an embarrassment for America
Editor,
What if Newt Gingrich wins the Republican nomination to challenge Obama next November and wins? That would make the current Mrs. Gingrich the first lady, wouldn't it? So, if she's the first lady, and the country, if not the rest of the world, know about her involvement with a married man, then that would be a national scandal and embarrassment, wouldn't it? Now that most, if not all, of the American public has knowledge of her indiscretions with ole' Newt, then she lacks self-respect by just showing her face in public. She would be representing us all as the first lady when entertaining world leaders and other dignitaries.
I don't know about anyone else, but I for one, wouldn't want that woman to represent me in a dog fight, much less as the wife of the president and leader of my country. If newt himself isn't embarrassing enough after being shamed out of his speakership as well as Congress by his own party, then I guess he has no problem with presenting he's current wife to the country and the world as our first lady.
He mentioned that his 13-year-old daughter held a job one summer. Had he not refused to pay child support until sued and taken to court, he wouldn't have so much information about young people not having any work or other type of ethics to follow at home.
He's not the perfect example himself of what he criticizes others for, but then again, stranger things have happened in elections, such as when George W. Bush was elected. If we didn't learn our lesson from the last time Republicans were in the White House, then we deserve to have unethical individuals like Gingrich and his wife living in it.
