Bountiful renews food service lease

BOUNTIFUL — A lease with Western Food Service to provide restaurant service for the city’s golf course has been renewed for one year.

During the first meeting of 2012, the city council voted 4-0 to renew the lease with the concessionaire but only for one year for $25,000 or 15 percent of the company’s annual gross sales at Bountiful Ridge golf course.

The company has provided food service for the course for nine years, but in the past season there was a managerial change in the restaurant and officials felt it would be best to renew the lease for only one year, to allow time to evaluate the new management along with the efficiency of the service in the restaurant.

The approval comes with an option to roll over the accord for two consecutive years.
