LeRoy and Roberta West of Ogden will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary.
They were married Jan. 21, 1947, in Ogden. Their vows were later solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot. Since retirement from the military, he has enjoyed spending time with his family. He is an avid golfer, playing two or three times a week. He enjoys keeping up to date with the latest electronics.
The couple served a mission for the LDS Church.
Since returning to Utah, she worked as a bank teller for the Bank of Utah. She says her greatest joy comes from her family. Throughout the years, she has been the caregiver for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Their children and spouses are Greg and (Carol deceased) West, Royan Smania, and Linda and Randy Gangwer.
They have 13 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
