LuJeanne Barnett Peters

LuJeanne Barnett Peters of Clinton celebrated her 80th birthday with her family.

She was born Jan. 14, 1932, in Ogden to Andrew L. and Genevieve Barnett. She grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School in 1949.

On Aug. 2, 1950, she married Robert J. Peters in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple. He died in 1989.

She is an active member of the LDS Church and has served in many callings. She served an 18-month mission in Sydney, Australia, and as an ordinance worker in the Ogden LDS Temple for seven years.

The family lived in Provo for many years. She and her husband were employed at Brigham Young University. She retired from BYU in 1997. She enjoys reading, traveling and spending special time with her family.

Her children and spouses are Greg and Ruth Peters, Salt Lake City; Krezel "Kris" Peters (deceased); and (Ruth Anne deceased) and Calvin Yoshimura. She has five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
