Man in court for probation violations

FARMINGTON — A 27-year-old man who robbed several Clearfield fast-food restaurants in summer 2010 was back in court Monday on charges of violating his probation.

Nathaniel David Lantz appeared before 2nd District Judge Michael G. Allphin. He was booked Jan. 10 in Davis County Jail by Syracuse police on two $100,000 warrants.

Lantz denied violating his probation. A court hearing is set for Feb. 13.

According to an affidavit to show cause, Lantz is accused of violating his probation by failing to pay fees, failing to pay restitution and failing to complete Odyssey House treatment. Odyssey House is a nonprofit center that provides treatment for those with substance addictions.

Lantz pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree felony aggravated robbery Dec. 27, 2010.

In February 2011, Allphin sentenced Lantz to three years of probation and one year in Davis County Jail in lieu of two prison sentences.
