Robles was booked into Weber County Jail early Tuesday morning on suspicion of felony evading and receiving or transporting a stolen vehicle, plus several misdemeanors.
Just before midnight, a Utah Highway Patrol trooper saw a 1997 Ford pickup truck that Robles was driving spin out at the icy intersection of 5600 South and Freeway Park Drive, said UHP Sgt. John Ely.
The trooper signaled Robles to stop, but Robles drove away on a frontage road.
The trooper went down the road and saw the truck had gone down a hill near the Larry H. Miller dealership, rolled and came to rest on its wheels.
Robles took off on foot after the rollover, Ely said.
Police found him a few minutes later about 10 feet up an evergreen tree near a Motel 6. The officers got him down from the tree and arrested him.
Robles had some scrapes and was treated at the scene.
As of Tuesday evening, he had not been charged in 2nd District Court. The incident is still under investigation.
