RSL plans open house for fans at Rio Tinto

SANDY -- Real Salt Lake has invited fans of the Claret-and-Cobalt old and new to Rio Tinto Stadium this Saturday, when they will host an open house from 1 to 4 p.m.

During the free-admission event, fans will have the chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at RSL's home, go back-and-forth with RSL personalities during question-and-answer sessions and take advantage of special offers on tickets and merchandise.

The RSL open house will be the best time to secure a spot at the team's 2012 home opener on March 17 vs. the New York Red Bulls, as the afternoon will include an exclusive window to purchase single-game tickets in advance of the general public sale on Feb. 1.

Additional activities and opportunities include:

* Fan Q&A sessions with general manager Garth Lagerwey (2 p.m.) and an additional RSL personality (3 p.m.).

* Behind-the-scenes group tours of Rio Tinto Stadium

* Photo opportunities with RSL's popular mascot, Leo the Lion.

* Chances to win assorted RSL raffle prizes.
