City council members recently approved Ordinance 2012-01, by a 4-0 vote, establishing temporary rezoning regulations for their R-3 zone (multiple-family residential zone).
According to City Manager Jeff Oyler, it became necessary to make changes to the city’s R-3 zone so it can reduce the density of units per acre for any new construction.
A moratorium was granted by the city council while it allows for any changes or recommendations to be made by the planning commission.
