Police: Woods Cross mom made son run alongside moving car

WOODS CROSS -- A Woods Cross woman may face charges after police say she made her 9-year-old son run alongside the moving car she was driving.

Authorities say they responded to a call Thursday that a woman was dragging her son down a street in Woods Cross.

Woods Cross officer Thomas Smart tells the Deseret News (http://bit.ly/AjXsq8 ) that she was upset her child missed the bus and was refusing to walk to school. Smart says she reached out of the driver's side window, grabbed him by the belt and started driving slowly up the road.

Police say the woman acknowledged her actions to police. They have forwarded the case to prosecutors for possible endangerment charges.
