Back-to-back nights of fights at Foley's

OGDEN -- An enthusiastic crowd gathered at Foley's Gym Friday and Saturday, and were treated to two nights of impressive fights during the Utah State Senior Boxing Championships.

The fights, staged between fighters from across the state, was a qualifier for future regional competitions.

Several Ogden fighters emerged victorious in their fights.

Santana Decarlo, of Foley's, won an 75-pound novice battle with Adrinno Benn of Salt Lake City, while Memo Martines of Foley's topped Robert Chairez of MTI.

In Saturday's open fights, Isaac Aguilar of MTI won at 130 pounds, while Francisco Lopez of City Center won at 132 pounds; Brandon Packard of Fullmers won at 141; Danny Galloway of SLC won at 165, and Anthony Valdez of Louies won at 201.

Jordan Martinez and Isaac Aguilar emerged as unopposed champions.

Friday night novice winners from the Top of Utah included Jayden Lopez of Ogden (65 pounds), and Marcos Alvarez of Marshall White Center (155). See full fight results on Scoreboard.
