GOP debates more entertaining than circus clowns

Editor,

Watching the Republican presidential debates over the past couple of months has been more entertaining then going to a circus and watching the clowns.

All we hear from Mitt Romney is, I know how to create jobs. I'm the job creator. I was in the private sector for years, and I can create jobs. When he was asked about releasing his tax records, he was reluctant to make an immediate release and it was obvious why he was so hesitant. He paid approximately 14 percent, a smaller percentage rate than the majority of us working class folks. His response was; "I did it all legally and I didn't pay one dollar more then I had to." How patriotic.

I can't believe Newt Gingrich has the nerve to think people can't see through his unsavory character. It's almost as if he is an egomaniac. I believe it's a true indicator that he can't be trusted. When he lashed out at John King at the South Carolina debate about a personal matter about Gingrich and a former wife, Gingrich said it was despicable of King to have to have brought it up at the debate. What was despicable, was how Gingrich treated both of his former wives.

I believe Rick Santorum comes on too strong. If he had his way, we would have already invaded Iran, Cuba, Venezuela.

Ron Paul has good points but he has bad points. Even so, I like his spirit of not giving up, and his honesty.

I believe Jon Huntsman bowed out a little too soon. He was the only candidate who came across as having any degree of good sense about the issues. He appears to be a trustworthy man of good character. I feel the South Carolina and Florida debates revealed to the people the real characters of both Romney and Gingrich. Jon Huntsman would have risen to the top and giving the people a much better choice.

Now, I hear that Romney may consider having Gingrich as his V.P. if he succeeds. What is this world coming to? Why doesn't he choose Sarah Palin or her daughter Bristol?
