Ruth Roghaar Wayment

Ruth Roghaar Wayment of Warren will celebrate her 90th birthday with her family at a special celebration on Saturday, Feb. 4.

She was born Jan. 17, 1922, in Ogden to Lucas and Polly Elizabeth Roghaar. She grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School.

On Nov. 15, 1944, she married Owen U. Wayment in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple. He died in 2008.

She is an active member of the LDS Church and has served in many callings. She served as a missionary in Jackson, Miss., and as an ordinance worker in the Ogden LDS Temple for several years.

She raised her family in Warren on a dairy farm. She worked for several years as a registered nurse at Dee Memorial and McKay-Dee hospitals. She enjoyed growing flowers in her yard and spending time with her family.

Her children and spouses are Timothy and Connie Wayment, West Haven; Susan and LaVell England, Warren; O. Scott and Susan Wayment, Warren; Terry and Kathy Wayment, West Point; and Leasa Wayment, Plain City. She has 23 grandchildren and 67 great-grandchildren.
