Wayne E. and Carrie C. Rose of Warren celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary at a family dinner on Saturday, Jan. 28.
They were married on Jan. 28, 1942, in Malad, Idaho. Their vows were solemnized on Oct. 28, 2011, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple. They have lived in Warren for the 70 years of their marriage.
He was born to Elmer and Irene Rose in Warren. A World War II veteran, he served in the 59th Signal Battalion and retired from Defense Depot Ogden in 1979. He owns and operates a farm in Warren.
She was born to Ernest and Eva Cardon in Rupert, Idaho. She graduated from Weber High School and attended Weber State College. She retired from the Weber County School District in 1984. She belongs to the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and is an active member of the LDS Church. She has served in many church callings.
Their children and their spouses are Don and LuDale Rose, Plain City; Ron and Debra Rose, Buhl, Idaho; Carl and Lisa Rose, Warren; Dee and Sue Rose, Plain City; and Cheryl and Kraig Bach, Elko, Nev.
They have 13 grandchildren (one of whom is deceased) and 14 great-grandchildren.
