In the past month citizens and law enforcement personal have grieved dearly over the death of one it's Police Officers losing his life in the line of duty and 5 others being shot. To my horror last week in a North Ogden council meeting, City Councilman Wade Bigler proposed cutting police officer health benefits roughly by 30 percent. Mr. Wade Bigler you should be ashamed of yourself.
That is not why you were elected. You were elected to be a steward of our tax dollars. Thank goodness that the majority of the city council did not go along with your ridicules plan.
In 2010 the State Legislature cut every future police officer and firefighters pensions roughly by 30 percent and future dispatchers and court clerks got their pensions slashed roughly by 50 percent. They don't need more shots taken at any part of their livelihood.
I appreciate the exceptional service our North Ogden police officers and firefighters do to protect us and even you (Mr. Wade Bigler), and why are you not trying to protect those that serve and protect us? To show the appreciation to out North Ogden public safety personal, I will be looking at every spending bill that Mr. Wade Bigler proposes, to make sure our tax dollars are going to where it belongs!
