N. Ogden councilman wants complex at lower price

Editor,

The people of North Ogden are being misled by the inaccurate reporting that is being printed in the Standard Examiner. Regarding North Ogden's city council meetings, the paper seems to have a bias in favor of business as usual and let's have the city leaders do what they want and spend as much as they want; keep the citizens in the dark. The Standard reported in January 30, article, "Public works complex mulled over," that Wade Bigler (city councilman) "strongly opposed building the City's public works complex with bond money. Anyone who knows what's going on in North Ogden realizes that Mr. Bigler has repeatedly stated that our public works facility does need to be upgraded, but that it can be done for much less than the $7-10 million proposed by the previous council. Councilman Bigler has also worked hard on behalf of us citizens to keep this seven-acre industrial complex out of our residential neighborhoods.

It is a shame that a newspaper can continually write anything it wants to without being held accountable. I hope the good people of North Ogden can see through all the distorted and false attacks that is reported against this good man. Wade Bigler is a champion for the citizens of North Ogden, and there are thousands that agree with me. He is a man of highest integrity. Thank you, Coucilman Bigler, for having the courage to stand up for what is right and for listening to us residents.

Don Brown
