Wildcats run home winning streak to 14

OGDEN -- On a night when both teams sizzled from the field, the Wildcats showed off their firepower.

NCAA scoring leader Damian Lillard followed a 40-point outing in his last game with 35 more Saturday at the Dee Events Center, and Weber State never trailed in a 93-81 victory over Northern Colorado.

Lillard, who came in averaging 25.1 points per game, hit 12 of 18 shots from the field and 5 of 9 from beyond the arc for the Wildcats (18-4, 11-1 Big Sky), who have not lost at home this season and have a 14-game home winning streak dating to last season. Weber State has now beaten every team in the conference at least once.

Weber State shot 60 percent from the field in the opening half.

Scott Bamforth added 18 points and Gelaun Wheelwright and Byron Fulton had 11 and 10, respectively, off the bench for the Wildcats, who converted 16 UNC turnovers into 25 points.

Tate Unruh had 17 points to lead five players in double figures for the Bears (7-15, 2-7), who suffered their fifth loss in six games, despite shooting 57 percent from the field after halftime.
