Fire forces evacuation at Northridge High School

LAYTON — Students and faculty were allowed to go back in to Northridge High School shortly before 11 a.m. Monday after a fire forced evacuation of the building.

Assistant Principal Clyde Jackson said someone deliberately set fire to several rolls of toilet paper in a men’s bathroom in the south end of the school.

Damage from the fire was limited to the bathroom.

The building was evacuated when fire alarms sounded about 9:30 a.m.

There are about 1,750 students at the school.
