OGDEN -- Prevent Child Abuse Utah is holding a Community Pinwheel Vigil for the Powell boys at 4 p.m. today (Thursday) in the Municipal Gardens Playground.
The playground is located at 343 25th St. Pinwheels will be provided to attendees. Pinwheels represent the organization’s efforts to change the way Utahns think about child abuse prevention.
The funeral for the two sons of missing West Valley City woman Susan Powell is planned for Saturday in Tacoma, Wash. A private family interment will take place on Monday in Puyallup, Wash.
Charlie Powell, 7, and his 5-year-old brother, Braden, were killed in a fire set by their father, Josh Powell, during a visit Sunday at his home in Graham, Wash. Powell was a person of interest in the disappearance of his wife two years ago.
