ROY -- Layton police confirmed this afternoon a body has been found at a Roy home.
Layton Police Lt. Garret Atkins said the identification of the remains will have to await determination by the medical examiner.
The body was found about 3 p.m. today.
Officers from Layton, Roy and the Roy public works department began digging Monday in the yard next to a duplex at 3612 W 4550 South.
Layton police confirmed earlier this week that they were looking for evidence in the case of Victor Flores, who was reported missing in May. He had come to Utah from California and texted or phoned his family almost daily.
Family members came to Layton after they had not heard from Flores for a week and he did not return calls or texts.
More information will be posted on standard.net as it becomes available.
