Teen falls from moving truck, remains in critical

WEST JORDAN -- Hospital officials say a 16-year-old remains in critical condition a day after he was thrown from the bed of a moving pickup truck in West Jordan.

Police say the boy was airlifted to the hospital after the incident Wednesday afternoon.

Officials tell KSL the teen had climbed from the cab of the truck into the vehicle's bed. They say the driver was watching the stunt and overcorrected when he turned his focus back to the road.

West Jordan police say there's no evidence alcohol or drugs were involved.
