Standard-Examiner readers were invited to share their favorite 2002 Winter Olympic memories:
My daughter, Diane Alldridge Schmidt was a torch bearer in the 2002 Winter Olympics. She was 14 at the time.
I wrote a short essay using the Coca-Cola web site. I was so amazed when she was chosen to be a torch bearer. Coca-Cola paid for the torch, and gave her the jacket, pants, hat, and gloves to use that day.
She was #304 and ran in Logan near the stadium. It was an amazing experience for my family and friends.
