Utah murder suspect to remain in Nevada jail

ELKO, Nev. — A 24-year-old man suspected of killing a Utah couple during a crime spree in December will remain in jail in Nevada for at least two more months.

An Elko County district judge has postponed until April 9 the extradition hearing that had been scheduled this week for Logan McFarland of Mount Pleasant, Utah.

McFarland faces a number of charges stemming from a Dec. 31 incident in West Wendover, Nev., including grand larceny of a motor vehicle, kidnapping and robbery with the use of a deadly weapon.

He hasn’t been charged formally in Utah, but police say he’s also a suspect in the slayings of 70-year-old Leroy Fullwood and his 69-year-old wife Ann during a burglary at their home in Mt. Pleasant.
