I think the Standard did a great job with the Olympic memories section of Sunday's paper (Feb. 12, "Rekindle the fire within"). If there is one person in the Top of Utah who would have a problem with the 2002 Olympics it would be the Wasatch "Grumbler" (Feb. 12, "Let the games begin, but let someone else pay for it"). Talk about turning a hugely positive experience into a downer, congratulations Mr. Trentelman.
He obviously hated everything about the games until he was "comped" a free ticket to watch Sarah Hughes, then he had a grand night. I hope Utah wins the opportunity to host the games again as soon as possible, 99.9 percent of us will be thrilled.
I hope the "Grumbler" will not be his typical downer self. I hope he can lighten up and enjoy the party with the rest of us. We'll just make sure he gets a free ticket to something.
