Ogden construction firm earns honors

The first phase of the Falcon Hill Research Park at Hill Air Force and the Harmons grocery store at Farmington’s Station Park, constructed by R & O Construction, were award winners at the Associated General Contractors of Utah convention held Jan. 28 in Salt Lake City.

Falcon Hill was honored as the Industrial Building Project of the Year 2011, while the Harmons store was honored as Retail Project of the Year 2011, said Barbara Taylor, R & O Construction spokeswoman.

The awards, presented by AGC Utah, were based on safety, innovation, craftsmanship, and function and aesthetic quality of design, Taylor said.

The AGC Utah is an organization of qualified construction contractors and industry-related companies dedicated to skill, integrity and responsibility, Taylor said.

OGDEN — An Ogden construction firm has been honored by its peers for two projects it built in Davis County.
