Vehicles on walking path bother Pleasant View council

Councilman Scott Boehme said there continues to be problems with people driving on the new walking path on Pleasant View Drive and he observed tire marks on it.

Councilman Michael Humphreys said city employees used a backhoe in one area to remove snow and it tore up the asphalt. He said he has also seen delivery trucks to the reception center on Pleasant View Drive using the walking path as a shoulder to turn around.

Humphreys suggested the city consider putting large boulders along the path to prevent vehicles from driving on it or using it as a turn around.

Mayor Doug Clifford said eventually trees will be planted along the path and that may help solve the problem.

“Let’s look at the whole landscaping plan, let’s look at it this spring,” said Clifford.
