Residential facilities public hearing set

FARR WEST -- An application for a conditional-use permit for an assisted living facility on 2550 North was received by the planning commission recently.

Commissioner Lou Best said the developer also took action a year ago, and the time had elapsed, so the planning commission tabled the application until the city can act on an ordinance regarding residential facilities for the elderly and those with disabilities.

A public hearing regarding the issue will be held March 15 during the regularly scheduled council meeting at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 1896 N. 1800 West.

A public hearing for a fee schedule ordinance also will be held at that time.
