OGDEN -- Dea Millerberg waived a preliminary hearing today in an appearance in 2nd District Court.
She is charged with abuse or desecration of a dead body in the death of 16-year-old Alexis Rasmussen for allegedly moving the teen's body after she died.
Millerberg was accompanied to court by her aunt and uncle and her attorney Mike Bouwhuis. Both declined comment and Millerberg said nothing during the brief hearing.
A pretrial conference was set for April 25.
Millerberg also faces charges of child endangerment and prescription drug fraud unrelated to Rasmussen's death. She is free on bond.
Millerberg's husband, Eric, faces charges of child abuse homicide, obstructing justice, unlawful sexual activity with a minor and abuse or desecration of a dead body in the Rasmussen case. He is in state prison on unrelated charges.
