Reward offered in Salt Lake broken window spree

SALT LAKE CITY -- Salt Lake valley police who received reports of 134 car windows broken in a single night say they're offering a $500 reward for information leading to a conviction.

Officials say it appears one or more suspects used a BB or pellet gun during the vandalism spree late Monday and early Tuesday.

Authorities count 30 cases in Cottonwood Heights, 20 in Taylorsville, 20 in Murray, 17 in Midvale, 16 in Millcreek, 16 in South Salt Lake, nine in West Jordan and five in Sandy.

One case in Holladay brings the total up to 134.

Police say there's thousands of dollars in damages.

Information about suspects is limited, and police are asking for the public's help to find the people responsible for the vandalism.
