Arizona governor endorses Romney

PHOENIX — Gov. Jan Brewer is endorsing Mitt Romney in Arizona’s Republican presidential primary on Tuesday.

A person familiar with Brewer’s decision tells The Associated Press she’s announcing the endorsement in Washington, where she’s attending a governors conference.

The endorsement comes four days after Romney and three other major Republicans appeared in a debate in Mesa on Wednesday.

Brewer had said she wanted to hear what the candidates said during that event before making up her mind.
